Ingredients
2 cup basmati rice
2 big potatoes
1 cup onion chopped
½ cup tomatoes
3no green chilies
Hand full of coriander leaves
3no garlic (chopped finely)
1 tsp red chilli powder
1tsp lemon juice
2tbsp of oil
2tsp butter
Salt to taste
SPICES (ground separately)
Little saffron
4no cardamom
½ inch cinnamon
½ tsp garam masala
4 pepper seeds (white)
Garnishing
Fried onion
Method.
Add water to the rice and leave it for 15 to 20 min.
Take a pan, add oil / butter and sauté onion and garlic, fry well till the onion turns to brown in colour add a tsp ful of red chilli powder then tomatoes, green chilli and coriander leaves.
Fry well add the spice powder and salt fry till all mix well.
Then add required amount of water. When it comes to boil transfer the mixture to rice cooker.
Add rice , mix well and close the cooker. When the rice cooker comes to warm add lemon juice. Mix well. Garnish with fried onion .Serve hot with raita / cauliflower fry.
