Channa Masala Sandwich With Chat Masala

This is one of my usual sandwich, Whenever I prepare channa , atleast 1 or 2 tbsp will be left over and I used to make a sandwich. This happened again this week. I prepared channa masala for Dinner with chapathi, I had little left over and in the morning I made Channa Masala Sandwich. It was yummy. We usually get bread channa in our canteen when we were in school and college. This reminded me those days. It was really tasty. Kids will surely love it.


Ingredients
Bread slices  - 6no
Chat masala – 2tsp (sprinkling above channa)
Oil /ghee for toasting

For channa Masala
Chick peas 1 cup
Corriander powder 2 Tbsp
Garam masala powder 1 tsp
Chilli powder 2 tsp
Onion  2 no (chopped)
Garlic pods 3no (cut in strips)
Tomato 1 no (chopped)
Oil 3 Tbsp
To Grind
Jeera (little) 1 Tbsp
Aniseeds (sombu) 1 Tbsp
Pepper corns 1 Tbsp
Salt to taste
Lemon 1 no
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Instructions
Wash the chick peas and soak it overnight for 5 or 6 hours. Grind jeeragam /Jeera ,aniseed and pepper to a fine powder....Take a pressure cooker, pour 2 tbsp of oil and put aniseed .Add onion and garlic pods sauté it till transparent...or little brown... now add the garam masala powder .Add the tomatoes. sauté  till it get smashed .Add the chilli powder and ground powder (jeera,anniseed,pepper) . And add the coriander powder...mix well and add the channa .Add 1 cup of water...and salt .Close the cooker .Keep for 3 whistle, after the pressure comes down , open and add the lemon extract And keep for 2 min in sim or till it becomes thick mass .Garnish with onion and coriander leaves. Channa is ready to taste.


Now heat the tawa, take one slice of bread and keep 1 tbsp of channa masala and sprinkle chat masala little and coriander leaves. Place another slice and press it well with ur palm. When tawa is heat enough then toast it both the sides using ghee / oil.\Yummy sandwich is ready to taste.
